FFM22: There's a Dragon in Los Angeles

The dragon flew. He tried to focus on the journey, but he missed Chicago's familiar streets. He didn't know what he'd find in Los Angeles, but it wasn't home.

It wouldn't be home.

The land changed, shifting colors like a dealer shuffled cards. The dragon smelled the stench of pollution before he spotted the lights. It made his nose twitch, and he wondered what kind of people could live in such a smell.

“Such a homely city,” he said, he lamented. He saw chaos in the placement of the buildings, and chaos was unpredictable. It wasn't safe. But he had no choice. He approached the city.

He expected someone to spot him, but no one did. They stared at the ground. Maybe they just didn't care.

“Maybe it won't be so different,” he mused.

He hid in an old warehouse, squeezing through a dragon sized hole in the roof. It would do until he could find something better, he decided. It would have to.

There's A Dragon In Chicago - FFM Day 22The streets of Chicago made this dragon happy. Why? Because they were a safe haven for him. He lurked in the shadows, staying out of sight, planning when he could leave.
“Probably at night,” he mused to himself, keeping his voice near silent. “If I remember right, I need to get to Los Angeles. From there I should be able to find someplace safe.
He paused in his walk to glance up at a large structure. It appeared to be a giant bean, resting on the ground. It was somewhat larger than himself, and reflected all the clouds above it in an abstract way. It reminded him of joke mirror. Squinting his eyes, the dragon saw it had a sign out front that read “Cloud Gate” with someone’s name after it. He shook his head, already losing interest.
“It’s a good think I was born with such an uncommon color,” he chuckled to himself. “Sure, purples are frowned upon, but this dark color is letting me blend in perfectly.” He paused his though

I quite liked this, but one thing--

“Such a homely city,” he said, he lamented.

It seemed a bit off with the two dialogue tags like that. Was one of them an accident?
