Doing good.
Ex decided not to pay his court ordered spousal support right when rent was due. I was lucky I had a back up plan. We are still sorting it out.
On vacation right now so I’m trying to not lose my mind. Things could be worse. I have a home and people I care about. That’s ultimately all that matters.
Eventually, I’m getting a tattoo and a cat. But it’ll be a long time still.

The new apartment is great. I have more days I feel human than days I don’t. I’ve even been able to get some editing in on my ridiculous novel.
No spoilers, I didn’t love the new Star Wars. I suspect I was never going to be terribly satisfied with it. In general, it felt really rushed and like two movies smashed together. It’s worth seeing and the actors are great in it. I’m just super meh about the writing.
Moving Tomorrow
So I have been pretty quiet because I’m packing, getting ready to move. The divorce is moving slowly but It is moving. I’ve gone back over events that seemed like nothing at the time but now make sense.
It’s still weird not to have to walk on egg shells all the time. It’s weird to be able to express when I’m sad or need something. I keep expecting people to get mad and call me lazy or emotionally abusive but it doesn’t happen. I still have trouble understanding how the last 15 years could be real.
But things are good otherwise. I suspect having an apartment, having an actual home again will help get me wr
